Meet the founder
I’m a Kiwi who now calls Tasmania home, a self-taught sewist with a background in fashion, science, and business operations. I love solving problems and credit my creative mindset to my mum, who taught me early on the joy of repurposing and reimagining materials.

That mindset led to the creation of Sewsure in 2023. Confident in my sewing skills but still feeling stuck, I realised existing tools helped organise fabric but not decide what to make. Pinterest inspired me, but it often encouraged buying more rather than using what I already had.

Sewsure was built to make deciding visual, accessible, and enjoyable, for beginners starting their first project and right through to experienced sewists rediscovering their stash.
