 I’m a Kiwi who now calls Tasmania home, and a self-taught sewist with a background in fashion, science, and business operations. I love a good problem to solve and credit my creative side to my mum, who taught me from an early age the joy of repurposing and reimagining materials.

That mindset is what led me to create Sewsure in 2023. Like many startup ideas, it began as a solution to my own problem. Sitting on my living room floor, confident in my skills and surrounded by fabrics and patterns, I still felt stuck. I’d used inventory apps to organise my stash, but they didn't help me decide on what to make. And while Pinterest was inspiring, it often nudged me to buy more, clothes or supplies rather than see the value in what I already had.

 My goal is to make deciding visual, accessible, and enjoyable for beginners picking up their first project through to experienced sewists rediscovering their fabric stash.
